Carle Executive Elected to International Board for Fundraisers

URBANA, IL - Robert Driver, vice president of Development for The Carle Foundation, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) International, an organization dedicated to setting standards in philanthropy through a certification process.

Driver has worked in the field of development since 1993. He joined Carle in 2002 after serving as the director of development/major gifts at the Washington Hospital Center Foundation in Washington, DC. He began his development career with the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science.

At Carle, Driver spearheaded the organization's first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign. His leadership resulted in the receipt of the organization's largest philanthropic gift and the impetus for Mills Breast Cancer Institute. Driver received his bachelor's degree in 1986 from the University of Missouri and his master's degree from Indiana University in 1989.

Driver became a CFRE in 2000. Since then, he has received recertification twice by CFRE International, the organization responsible for certifying fundraising professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in serving the philanthropic sector. More than 5,400 fundraisers worldwide are CFRE credentialed.
