Carle Executive Elected to International Board for
Fundraisers
URBANA, IL - Robert
Driver, vice president of Development for The Carle Foundation, has been elected
to a three-year term on the board of directors for Certified Fund Raising
Executive (CFRE) International, an organization dedicated to setting standards in
philanthropy through a certification process.
Driver has worked
in the field of development since 1993. He joined Carle in 2002 after serving
as the director of development/major gifts at the Washington Hospital Center
Foundation in Washington, DC. He began his development career with the
University of Missouri College of Arts and Science.
At Carle, Driver
spearheaded the organization's first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.
His leadership resulted in the receipt of the organization's largest philanthropic
gift and the impetus for Mills Breast Cancer Institute. Driver received his
bachelor's degree in 1986 from the University of Missouri and his master's
degree from Indiana University in 1989.
Driver became a CFRE
in 2000. Since then, he has received recertification twice by CFRE
International, the organization responsible for certifying fundraising professionals who demonstrate the
knowledge, skills and commitment to the highest standards of ethical and
professional practice in serving the philanthropic sector. More than 5,400
fundraisers worldwide are CFRE credentialed.
