Team Approach to Recovery

Our Goals
We strive to support individuals through their long-term journey to recovery and help them navigate the best treatment options. We also seek to decrease the stigma around addiction and increase access to care.

What Makes Our Service Special?
Our services are designed with the needs of patients in mind. We provide comprehensive, patient-centered treatment to those who have addiction disorders and who may have co-occurring mental health conditions. We also accept many insurance plans and offer financial assistance programs for those without insurance.

Treatment and Resources

Addiction Counseling with Certified and Licensed Clinicians
Our committed team will help you or your loved one by providing the region’s most comprehensive and confidential treatment and intervention.

Individual, Family and Group Therapy and Education
Our therapy spans all levels of care, including one-on-one therapy, group-setting therapy, counseling and programs to benefit family members.

Inpatient Detox
For patients who require a higher level of care for management of acute physical symptoms of withdrawal associated with stopping alcohol or drugs, hospital-based inpatient treatment is available at Carle BroMenn Medical Center Addiction Recovery. In addition to licensed therapists, nurses and other support services, medical providers are available 24 hours per day and round individually with patients on a daily basis.

Partial Hospitalization Treatment
Available at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, this is a group-based outpatient treatment that meets Monday through Friday for five hours per day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Length of programming is individualized, with a typical length of stay of 10 to 15 days. Patients will learn core recovery principles, relapse prevention strategies and copying skills to implement into a recovery lifestyle.

Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers effective, flexible treatment sessions held in the evening, so participants can maintain school, work or family obligations.

Continuing Care
Without support, long-term drug and alcohol recovery is often very difficult. This program is designed to prevent relapse and enhance coping.

Medication Assisted Treatment
As part of comprehensive treatment, our medical team is approved to prescribe medication-assisted treatment for addiction when appropriate.

These medications include but are not limited to:

  • Buprenorphine (Brand name: Suboxone®)
  • Extended-release naltrexone (Brand name: Vivitrol®)

Smoking Cessation
Nicotine addiction is a serious, often life-long and life threatening disease that affects people throughout our nation and the world. Our team is willing and able to work with those affected using a multi-disciplinary, team based approach along with medications to improve your odds of quitting.

DUI Services
A Driving-Under-the-Influence (DUI) incidence can leave you confused and full of questions. The Carle Addiction Recovery Center in Champaign is licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse to perform DUI services.

Our staff is trained to help clients through the mandatory evaluation and treatment process. We are here to provide effective and efficient services to help reduce the possibility of future problems with alcohol, drug or traffic violations.

DUI services include:

  • DUI evaluation services
  • All levels of DUI classification and treatment (individual and Group)
  • Denial letter consultation

Family Counseling
In addition to providing treatment for people struggling with substance use disorders, we offer help for the entire family. We focus on helping people understand substance abuse/addiction and how they can help their loved one and themselves.
