Megan Holland, Director
As director of volunteer services at Carle, Megan Holland oversees all volunteer programs in the Carle Health System. This includes the Carle Auxiliary, student volunteers, teen volunteers, career development programs, and regional volunteer programs. Megan supports the philanthropic efforts of the Carle Auxiliary as its Executive Director with oversite of the organization’s fundraising efforts including the Carle Auxiliary Gift Shops and the Carle Auxiliary Resale Boutique. Supporting Carle Center for Philanthropy, Megan also oversees the Carle Auxiliary Guest House, a complimentary home away from home for families of patients in Carle’s critical care units.
Megan has over 12 years of professional volunteer manager and non-profit management experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in music and English from Millikin University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Megan was recognized as one of the "40 Under 40” by Central Illinois Business Magazine in 2012 and serves on boards locally, regionally, statewide and nationally to advance excellence in volunteer management in health care and the communities we serve.

Demario Turner, Coordinator of regional volunteer and Shadowing Programs
Demario Turner serves as the Coordinator of Regional Volunteering & Shadowing Programs with all aspects of onboarding volunteers, observers, and non-scholastic internship applicants. His role expands to Mattoon, Danville, Hoopeston, Monticello and other regional areas as the organization continues to grow.
Demario holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration coupled with graduate certificates in Public Sector Labor Relations, Human Resources & Management of Nonprofit Organizations and Business Administration from University of Illinois. Demario has worked at Carle in various roles for more than seven years. He has a strong passion for civic and community engagement and the human resources profession. He also serves on the Champaign County Racial Justice Task Force, City of Champaign Human Relations Commission, and Police Complaint Citizens Review Subcommittee and is a United Way Emerging Community Leader.

Abby Brooks, Coordinator for student volunteer programs
Abby Brooks serves as the Coordinator for Student Volunteer Programs. She works with high school and college students in various different programs including volunteering, high school career development and the Ambassador program.
Abby, a native of the Champaign-Urbana area, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Education from the University at Urbana-Champaign. She has held various roles with Carle for more than eight years including volunteering, the Surgical Waiting Room and Human Resources. Abby has a passion for volunteering and youth development.

Jennifer Hunzinger, Auxiliary & Volunteer Services Coordinator
Jennifer Hunzinger serves as the coordinator for the Carle Auxiliary and Volunteer Services. Her primary focus is to assist members of Carle Auxiliary in their service areas, ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation of the program.
Jennifer was born and raised in east central Illinois. She is a graduate of Lake Land College in Mattoon and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. She has an extensive background in volunteer management in both paid and volunteer roles. In recent years, she was employed as the volunteer program assistant at the University of Florida’s Museum of Natural History and as the volunteer coordinator at Family Service of Champaign County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
