Learn how to keep your pets and children safe around each other. The first hour of class is devoted to dog safety. You’ll learn about cardinal rules of safety for dogs and children under age six, normal dog behaviors that put our children at risk for bites, how to tell when your dog is anxious and what to do to prevent bites. The second hour is devoted to cat safety. You’ll learn the cardinal rules of safety for cats and children under age six, understanding normal cat behavior that puts children at risk for bites and scratches and the danger of not enough perches, cat trees or hiding places.
You may choose to attend the entire class or just the session that pertains to your particular needs. The veterinarian teaching this class is a well-regarded professional speaker on animal behavior, with a focus on positive handling techniques for dogs and cats.
