Rock Steady Boxing is a first-of-its-kind organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Patients at all levels of symptom progression may see improved motor function as a result of intense non-contact, boxing style exercise.
Workouts focus on strength training, reaction time, balance and core work. No boxing experience is necessary and people of all ages are invited to participate. Boxers both male and female, can range in age from mid-30s to early 90s.
Caregivers, friends, and family are encouraged to come and provide support as a “corner man” for Rock Steady Boxing participants.
Participants must be diagnosed with Parkinson's disease to join a class. Before starting classes, you will need to attend a one-time assessment to determine your level.
