Innovative Partnerships

The strong partnership between Carle and the University of Illinois made the purchase of the Siemens MAGNETOM Terra 7 Tesla MRI system possible and brings the promise of advancements in disease detection and treatment that will impact patients’ futures. 

Unique for a number of reasons, the Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center collaboration brings together the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University, with its rich history of MRI technology, and Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute, Carle’s research enterprise that dedicates itself to supporting new discoveries, to jointly address today’s critical healthcare challenges. These teams are supported by a full-time, on-site clinical scientist from Siemens Healthineers.

The collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, a leading medical technology company and manufacturer of the MAGNETOM 7T MR scanner, provides Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center with access to its latest digital health innovations, diagnostic imaging equipment, and on-site support staff to help improve patient care in our community and in the region.
