including Inpatient (Med/Surg, Critical Care, ED, Maternal/Child), Ambulatory (clinic), and Procedural tracks.

Applicants must be enrolled and prepared to graduate, or have previously graduated, from an accredited nursing program. Prior to beginning nursing orientation, the employee must have obtained an unencumbered Illinois State Registered Nurse license.
All RNs hired on at Carle with less than 1 year of RN experience must obtain their BSN within 5 years of their start date.
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not required. New graduates, and those in their final semester, of an accredited nursing program are encouraged to apply.

The staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.
