About this event

These bereavement support groups provide a place to connect with others who are also going through loss, share memories of the person who died, learn about the grief process, and explore new ideas to help you cope and heal. We use Alan Wolfelt’s book Understanding Your Grief as a guide to our discussion.

The groups are open to all grieving adults in the community who have experienced a loss through death and are led by a trained facilitator. Call (217) 383-3151 or email with questions and for a link to attend the Zoom events. Short term one-to-one grief support is also available.

5:30 – 6:30 p.m., What's Normal When I'm Grieving?
This is an introductory group for people who have experienced grief recently. Topics include normal mental and physical challenges when we are grieving and healthy coping skills.

7 – 8:30 p.m., Touchstones in Navigating Grief
