Why do some of our providers not have a star rating? This can be for several reasons, including:
Joined Carle: 2007
This is a very good doctor.
It was my son's first appointment with this neurologist. He was being seen for migraines. The provider was helpful and seemed knowledgeable but I thought it strange that's he didn't examine my son at all. No neurological workup, didn't even listen to his heart. I have been seen in Carle Neurology for many years by a different provider for migraine headaches. I have never seen a neurologist that didn't perform any sort of neurological exam. Other than that, his information was helpful. .
It was very difficult for me to understand Dr. Chen when he was speaking. I am sure he is very good as a doctor, but I could not understand his English.
While Carle measures many aspects of our patients’ experience, only the survey questions specific to each provider are used to calculate their star rating. The surveys asks patients to evaluate their physicians in areas like communication, listening skills and respect. Results are used to evaluate patients’ overall perception of care and to identify areas for improvement. For each provider, ratings from their patients are averaged together to form a single star rating.
My visit to the Neurology department was very satisfactory.
For my 60 minute appointment I felt when Dr. Chen came in he had already read my folder and made a decision what my problem was. He appeared to listen to me however, the answer was just one answer. That diabetes was the reason for my problem, that was it. And I described things that had to do with other things and he still had no answer, he just nodded and that was it, our visit was over in 29 minutes.
I had a hard time understanding him and had him repeat several times. He talked fast!
Dr. Chen was a very good listener and answered all the questions that were asked and was very knowledgeable on the condition at hand would definitely recommend Dr. Chen to family and friends
The Dr was not personal and I would not recommend him at all. He snickered when I described my spells. Not professional to my standards.
It is very hard to understand Dr. Chen. His English is very hard to understand. I think he is a very good Doctor, however, it is really difficult to understand him.
Very pleased with this doctor; made me relaxed and allowed me to talk about my health problems. Made it clear what he could or would do to help me and let me know of various other options available. Was clear about possible side effects of some treatments. Friendly, courteous and helpful.
Dr. Chen was very kind and very thorough. He explained things in a way I could understand them.
I was told that while I was off of it I wanted to be able to get on the portal to see my discussion. I said yes. I have not received anything in my email about it, and I would like it.
Was not satisfied with possible cure suggestions for migraine headaches
They're great and kindness nothing more to said. Just keep it up. We're very happy with all the members of care. Thank you all.
Very happy with how things went today.
Dr. Chen is excellent doctor. He helps with the [...] for me. God bless Dr. Chen and his nurses and techs and receptionist and may God bless Carle. This is [...], good day.
CMA did not introduce herself. Provider did not seem to know my medical history in my chart. Nurse was very respectful and courteous. PSR's were welcoming but not entirely friendly.
a 60 minute consultation took about 15 minutes but I did find out there was nothing wrong based on test performed 2 years ago when I didn't have any of the symptoms
So it was a little hard to find the door, to... the neuroscience center.... cause it was my first time there. I don't know if there could be... could be any way... maybe sending a reminder for the... in the email, and it will make it better. Cause, I was... terribly sorry that I was late for the appointment, but I didn't mean to... cause... it took me quite some time to find... the right place to park, and the right place to find a place. Yeah, that's it. Thank you.
