Should I take my medications?

Please take all medications, as prescribed, with water only prior to attending a screening.

How long will it take to get my results?

Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, spirometry, and pulse oximetry results are available within about 5-10 minutes of performing the screenings. Wait times may vary from location to location.

How much do the screenings cost?

Are appointments required?

We do not accept appointments for our screenings. The screenings are performed on a first-come, first-served basis.

How often should I have my cholesterol checked?

An annual cholesterol screening is recommended for those who have normal cholesterol with a total cholesterol under 200. For those with high cholesterol, those with changes in medication and/or those who begin lifestyle changes (diet/exercise), it is recommended to have your cholesterol rechecked every 3-6 months.

Do you offer blood glucose testing separately from cholesterol testing?

No. At this time, blood glucose and cholesterol are included in the same test. Both require an 8–12 hour fast.

What results will I receive?

Results from a cholesterol screening include blood glucose, blood pressure, fasting cholesterol, and spirometry. Fasting cholesterol results include total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), triglyceride, and the ratio of total cholesterol to HDL cholesterol.
