The Carle health system continues to monitor the storm. To maintain the safety of patients and team members all Champaign-Urbana and surrounding region clinic locations will move to an all virtual care model Thursday, Feb. 3. This includes no facility access at all non-hospital locations in Champaign, Urbana, Mattoon, Monticello, Mahomet, Rantoul, Effingham, Tuscola and Danville. Convenient Care locations will also close and patients should consider their ability to safely travel to Convenient Care Plus locations in Urbana and Danville for more emergent needs. Mattoon Convenient Care Plus will be closed on Thursday, February 3.
Drive thru COVID-19 testing sites in Champaign, Mattoon and Danville will remain closed on Thursday as well.
To support those with the most critical care needs, some scheduled procedures and surgeries will continue on-site. Impacted patients have been contacted to confirm continuing appointments. Carle emergency care services are always available and open.
We encourage residents to stay indoors and off the roads as much as possible. Before you go, make sure your vehicle has a full tank of gas and pack a go-kit. Minimally, the kit should include the following:
• Battery jumper cables
• Fully-charged cell phone
Other Carle locations throughout the system may also offer reduced hours or adjusted availability and all patients are encouraged to contact their provider team if they have an appointment scheduled. Patients may call the Carle patient hotline at (217) 383-3371 to hear about any possible changes in hours of operation by location. Learn more about how the current weather conditions are impacting access to care at the Carle weather announcement page.
