Carle Neuroscience Institute is home to a dedicated team of board certified, fellowship trained physiatrists/physicians that are specially trained to identify what's causing your back and/or neck pain to provide non-surgical, non-opioid pain management.
Multidisciplinary Approach To Care
We offer a variety of non-surgical treatments to create the most effective plan for you, including a combination of physical therapy and injections. Our team emphasizes the continuity of a well-managed care plan that keeps you on your feet.
Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians (PM&R or physiatrists) diagnose and treat patients with spinal pain conservatively. Treatment for spinal conditions begins with a comprehensive evaluation to identify the cause of your pain. This involves a physician talking with you to learn the history of your symptoms and a physical exam. Your doctor may also review X-rays, MRI or CT scans or EMG testing. An individual treatment plan is developed to help you achieve maximal function. Our goal is to help you back to your everyday activities.
