Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians (PM&R or physiatrists) diagnose and treat patients with spinal pain conservatively. Treatment for spinal conditions begins with a comprehensive evaluation to identify the cause of your pain. This involves a physician talking with you to learn the history of your symptoms and a physical exam. Your doctor may also review X-rays, MRI or CT scans or EMG testing. An individual treatment plan is developed to help you achieve maximal function. Our goal is to help you back to your everyday activities.

Spinal Pain Treatment Options
The Interventional Pain physicians are fellowship trained in interventional pain medicine. Treatment options for spinal pain include:

• Lumbar, cervical and thoracic epidural steroid injection under fluoroscopic guidance
• Selective nerve block 
• Spine facet nerve block and radiofrequency nerve ablation
• Intercostal, peripheral and sympathetic nerve blocks
• Hip, knee, shoulder joint and sacroiliac joint injection under fluoroscopy
• Intradiscal electrotherapy (IDET), chemical neurolytic block

Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians use the latest rehabilitation methods to help patients with carpal tunnel, muscle sprains or sports injuries get back to optimal function.
