Pediatric Emergency Care

At Carle Foundation Hospital, our specially trained pediatricians and pediatric hospitalists care for our young patients should an emergency arise. Our emergency department recertified as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP), and alos went one step further to become one of three hopsitals outside of the Chicagoland area to be approved as a Pediatric Critical Care Center (PCCC), all because of its strength in caring for and meeting the unique needs of our youngest patients. 

Carle Health also has several Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) throughout its hospital systems. Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Carle Health Methodist Hosptial, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and Carle Health Proctor Hospital are all fully equipped for all pediatric emergencies. 

If you need care from one of our Critical Access Hospitals - Carle Eureka Hospital, Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center, and Carle Richland Memorial Hospital - we make sure staff at each location has 42/7 access to call or video conference with pediatric specialists. No matter waht, your child is getting expert care at all our locations.
