Peoria Residencies and Fellowships

Since its inception more than 100 years ago, Carle Health Methodist Hospital has been a pioneer in providing innovative healthcare to the greater Peoria area as well as surrounding communities. The hospital is home to several programs sponsored by the adjacent University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Family Medicine Residency

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Our residency offers busy internal medicine, pediatric and obstetrical services. You are exposed to, and learn to deal with, a wide range of medical conditions, from routine illnesses to rare diseases. Even more, you become part of a distinguished group of alumni focused on healthcare excellence. Graduates of the Family Medicine Residency Program achieve a 96% success rate on the Board examination for certification. Psychiatry Residency

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Psychiatry Residency program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

We provide our residents with unsurpassed training opportunities in all aspects of psychiatry. Our breadth of learning environments, commitment to supervision, innovative programs, and enthusiasm for teaching, ensure that residents will find success in every psychiatric endeavor they choose to pursue. We only accept applications through ERAS and have no residency openings at this time. Please contact us during recruitment season by applying to our program through ERAS.

Women's Health Fellowship

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Women's Health Fellowship of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

This one-year training program is open to graduates of accredited residencies in family medicine. Come explore the study of women's health in a highly individualized training program. Our fellowship is built on the solid foundation of a residency program that is more than 30 years old linked with a regional campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. We have outstanding experienced faculty who are committed to providing an excellent fellowship learning experience.
