Since its inception more than 100 years ago, Carle Health Methodist Hospital has been a pioneer in providing innovative healthcare to the greater Peoria area as well as surrounding communities. The hospital is home to several programs sponsored by the adjacent University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Family Medicine Residency

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Our residency has a long history of launching the careers of well-rounded physicians. That’s because we treat our residents as we do our patients – as people. With personalized support and comprehensive training, our residents leave prepared and equipped for a successful and sustainable life in medicine. Psychiatry Residency

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Psychiatry Residency program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

We provide our residents with unsurpassed training opportunities in all aspects of psychiatry. Our breadth of learning environments, commitment to supervision, innovative programs, and enthusiasm for teaching, ensure that residents will find success in every psychiatric endeavor they choose to pursue. Residents have access to a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings within urban, suburban and rural locations.

Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship

Carle Health Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

The Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship is an innovative, highly individualized training program allowing advanced studies in high-risk obstetrics and women's health. Upon completion of the fellowship, graduates will not only have developed significant skills in operative obstetrics and gynecologic procedures but will also have a deeper understanding of several aspects of women's health which will cover everything from general gynecology to reproductive endocrinology. We have outstanding experienced faculty who are committed to providing an excellent fellowship learning experience.
