Carle Health has named Jeanette Murray, MBA, RN, as president of Carle Health West Region, effective June 1, 2026. Murray will succeed Keith Knepp, MD, with a planned transition period in the coming months to ensure continuity for teams and communities across Greater Peoria.
Murray currently serves as vice president of hospital operations for the Greater Peoria Service Area and brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare operations and clinical services.
“Jeanette is a trusted and respected leader who has played a direct role in supporting teams and strengthening care in Greater Peoria,” said Matthew Kolb, Carle Health executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Her leadership, strong connection to our teams and focus on patient care position her well to step into this role and continue moving the region forward with consistency and focus.”
Murray has substantially contributed to key efforts across the region, supporting the Carle Health commitment to access, quality and exceptional patient care.
“The work happening across the region is driven by strong teams and a shared commitment to patients,” said Murray. “My focus will remain on listening, staying close to our teams and making sure we continue delivering the care our communities count on.”
Dr. Knepp, who has led the region through a period of operational focus and performance improvement, will partner closely during the transition period.
“Jeanette is the right leader for this role,” said Dr. Knepp. “She understands our teams, our patients and the work ahead, and I have full confidence in her as she steps into this position.”
