Carle is already administering the booster vaccine to qualifying team members. Community members and patients who are fully immunized with the Pfizer vaccine and meet CDC requirements are encouraged to schedule booster appointments today.
“Carle has been preparing for booster vaccine clinics for the past several weeks,” Robert Healy, MD, chief quality officer said. “We know the vaccine is our best defense against this virus and the additional dose offers Carle staff and patients more complete protection against serious illness and hospitalization.”
Carle patients can sign up for an appointment on MyCarle and all community members can sign up for a call-back to schedule on Carle.org. Patients in McLean County can also call (309) 268-5200 to schedule an appointment.

10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Carle BroMenn Medical Center
Oct. 5 – Oct. 8 and Oct. 12 – Oct. 15
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Patients who qualify are encouraged and will have the option to receive both their Pfizer COVID-19 booster and flu vaccine at the same appointment at Carle vaccination sites across the region.
“We are heading into a time where more indoor activities and the overlap of symptoms for people experiencing cold, flu and COVID-19 will increase the amount of illness overall in our communities,” Dr. Healy said. “It is important to take all measures available to ensure you remain healthy, not only for your own personal wellbeing but to limit the chance to spread something to a loved one.”
As the most researched medical offering in history, the COVID-19 vaccine has proven to be safe and effective. It is important for everyone to get vaccinated to limit the spread of infection and reduce the opportunity for the COVID-19 virus to mutate in the future.
Carle is collaborating with local public health departments throughout the region to ensure everyone who qualifies for the Pfizer booster vaccine has access. Booster recipients should bring their COVID-19 vaccine card to appointments if possible.
