What You Need to Know for 2026.

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment will occur Jan. 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026, during which existing 2026 Medicare Advantage members can switch Medicare Advantage plans or revert to Original Medicare. 

Step One: COMPARE your options.

Medicare Advantage plans differ in their networks, prescription coverage and out-of-pocket costs. Take time to consider:
   •    The providers you see regularly.
   •    The prescriptions you take.
   •    The services you know you’ll need in the year ahead.
 

Step Two: CONFIRM plan details before enrolling.

The following resources can help you compare plans and determine which include Carle Health in-network:

Step Three: CHOOSE a plan that chooses Carle Health.

Open Enrollment for those already enrolled in a 2026 Medicare Advantage plan begins Jan. 1, 2026 and ends March 31, 2026. Use the resources above and create an account at www.medicare.gov. After January 1, select a Medicare Advantage plan that keeps you connected to the Carle Health care teams you know and trust.

Reminder: Always confirm details directly with your chosen health plan. For the most current information, contact your insurance agent or provider. This page will continue to be updated with resources throughout the open enrollment period.

  • Medicare.gov plan finder: Compare plans in your ZIP code, enter prescriptions and preferred providers and see estimated costs. Visit www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227), TTY 1-877-486-2048.
  • Medicare & You Handbook: Mailed each fall from the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, this booklet includes all available plans and contact numbers. View online.
  • Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP): SHIP counselors offer free, unbiased support in your county. View online.
