Why do some of our providers not have a star rating? This can be for several reasons, including:
Joined Carle: 2012
My experience with general surgery record keeping before and during hospital check-in negatively impacted the surgery floor staff. The error put them in a rush after registration finally cleared me for surgery. I received a copy of a form with my name, procedure and date. Only my name was correct. I called general surgery to confirm the correct date and procedures and have any erroneous Info removed from my records. I also received a letter from Health Alliance saying the same office billed my surgeon for an uncovered eye exam and it stated the service was not billable and I owed $77.00. I was told it would be taken care of. Of course, Nothing was corrected. So, although, I arrived 30 mins early to hospital registration, I got out late, my surgery was on hold till they verified and eliminated the wrong medical procedure. I was a complete nervous wreck. Already anxious about the procedure I signed up for and now they still had the wrong procedure and dates in my records. There are far too many errors in documentation going on in general surgery/bariactrics. What if a patient can't advocate for himself. Would he end up having the wrong surgery? My surgeon happens to be the head of General Surgery. Dr. Rowitz, he said he would get to the bottom of it.
Wonderful care and compassionate professional providers
If everyone were on the same page at the hospital I would have gave 100%! The communication isn't very good. My problem is that I was made to do 6 months of dieting classes and exercise with tons and tons of information given to me only to wake up from being under and I was so confused cause everything we were told was not what has happened
While Carle measures many aspects of our patients’ experience, only the survey questions specific to each provider are used to calculate their star rating. The surveys asks patients to evaluate their physicians in areas like communication, listening skills and respect. Results are used to evaluate patients’ overall perception of care and to identify areas for improvement. For each provider, ratings from their patients are averaged together to form a single star rating.
I already recommend Carle to everyone I talk to. I live 2 hours away but I prefer Carle for all my health care needs now. And Dr. Rowitz is an exceptional doctor. Your hospital and service excel over all others that I have visited. Thank you for excellent service quality!
There should be private rooms available
I have to say they left my husband in the or waiting room til 6.No one came and told him any information. The dr came out and said surgery went well. That was at 1. I work for Carle so you think that would be a lot better experience. In my room the nurse was suppose to change my bag of fluid and give me pain meds at 230 and forgot about me. Didn't come back til 6:30. The dr came in calling me a different patient name. I had to correct him. He did an amazing job! He's an amazing man, I'm sure he had a long day and night! Every time I've been at Carle I haven't had a great experience.
Awesome from start to finish. Looking forward to my next visit. Total positive experience.
