The Katharina and Minnie Weber Long-Term Care Unit is located on the third floor of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Residents enjoy a small, family atmosphere with the best staff-to-patient ratios in the area. We’ve also received a five-star rating by Medicare for our high-quality care.
A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, CNA’s, activity staff and licensed social workers provide comprehensive services and build personalized care plans for each resident. Residents and their families are welcome to attend care-planning meetings to provide input.
Room and board expenses are private pay only and not covered by Medicare. Labs, x-rays, respiratory treatments and rehab services are billed to Medicare Part B. Oxygen and other medical supplies are an additional cost. Physician and pharmacy services are billed separately.
A diverse activity program is offered to encourage socialization and creativity.
On-site beauty/barber shop services are available to help our residents look their best.
Personal laundry services are provided by our laundry department.
Nursing provides quality services requiring specialized skills, including comprehensive assessments and 24-hour care. Regular reports are made to physicians and other staff about resident condition changes and needs. CNA’s also help with personal care.
Religious activities are offered for those who wish to participate. Non-denominational services are held on Sundays and Wednesdays. Chaplain services are also available.
Rehab services offered include physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and respiratory therapy.
A licensed social worker meets with the resident and his/her family to assess strengths and needs, help with coping and support the family. Information about resources and services, as well as assistance with coordinating arrangements, is provided.
Since the unit’s located in the hospital, residents have immediate access to all services and staff provided by Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. This includes dietary, cardiac, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services.
