COVID-19 Resources

Our efforts continue to center around prompt identification of patients with symptoms of the virus causing concern worldwide and taking appropriate steps to minimize exposure to patients, staff and others.

If you are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) with dry cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell, we recommend taking an at home COVID-19 test. If positive, or if you need further medical guidance or treatment, please contact your Primary Care Providers office.

Vaccines

Carle Health will offer the Food and Drug Association (FDA) approved and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended reformulation of the Pfizer (Comirnaty®) COVID-19 vaccines at clinical facilities. Carle Health facilities across the system will schedule appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine in primary care areas and nurse visits beginning October 30, 2023. Patients should contact your primary care provider for more information about what treatments they recommend for individual health needs.

Carle patients can schedule an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through MyCarle, by calling their doctor’s office or by visiting a local retail store. COVID-19 vaccines will not be available at all clinics, and will be subject to availability. The COVID-19 vaccine will not be available at flu clinics.
