Champaign County

 

CDC recommends Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster

Are you in a recommended group for a Pfizer booster?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that certain groups should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 Vaccine at least six (6) months after completing their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series. Schedule your booster appointment today. Pfizer-BioNTech Booster shots will be administered by Carle at the Champaign County Kohl's Plaza vaccination site. 

Carle Health, in partnership with Champaign Urbana Public Health District, is vaccinating anyone 12 and older who lives or works in Champaign County. We have many available vaccine doses available at this time and encourage those who have yet to receive their vaccine to schedule an appointment today.


Those who are 12-17 years old are currently only eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.
 

Scheduling:

Appointments for the first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are by appointment only. Please call (217) 902-6100 to schedule an appointment at a clinic near you.

Non-booster COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available at two Champaign County locations: For homebound patients and those needing interpreter services, sign up here to be notified of an available appointment.

Coles County

Carle Health in partnership with the Coles County Health Department (CCHD) is currently vaccinating those individuals who live or work in Coles County.

Patients who qualify for a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster should contact their local health department for community booster information and availability.

Those who qualify for a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine third dose - specifically for those with compromised immune systems - will be contacted to schedule an appointment to receive their third dose. If you have not been contacted, and believe that you qualify, please contact your provider's office or the COVID-19 hotline at (217) 902-6100.

DeWitt County Health Department

DeWitt-Piatt County Health Department is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to those ages 12 and up. Please call to schedule an appointment:   

  • DeWitt County residents call (217) 935-3427 ext. 2141 for an appointment at 5924 Revere Road in Clinton.
  • Piatt County residents call (217) 762-7911 ext. 2211 for an appointment at 1020 S. Market St. in Monticello.

Douglas County

Douglas County COVID vaccination appointments are open to anyone wanting one, regardless of county residency. Please be aware age requirements (18+ for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, 12+ for Pfizer) must still be met.

COVID vaccination first and second dose clinics are scheduled each Thursday at the Tuscola Community Building:

Edwards County is partnering with Wabash County to vaccinate anyone 18 or older who lives or works in Illinois. The Wabash County Health Department (WCHD) is offering COVID-19 vaccine. Please contact (618) 263-3873 to schedule your vaccination.

Effingham County

Effingham County is now vaccinating any Illinois residents aged 18 and older. They also have special Pfizer clinics scheduled for those aged 12 and older. They will post information on upcoming clinic details through their website and Facebook page.

Please register online for an appointment. The department will share a link for each individual clinic where individuals will be able to go online and book their appointment. Appointments can be made online until midnight the day before the clinic, or until the appointments are fully booked, whichever comes first.

Ford County

Please visit the Ford County Public Health Department COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Scheduling page to schedule your COVID vaccine appointments. 

FCPHD will be offering the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines along with third doses (if applicable) at the Ford County Public Health Department every Tuesday from 8:30 – 10 a.m.

Iroquois County

Carle Primary Care locations in Iroquois County are now offering vaccine appointments and encourage those who have yet to receive their vaccine to schedule an appointment today. Call your local Carle clinic to schedule these. Vaccine is open to anyone age 18 and older.

Jasper County

Jasper County is providing vaccine to all persons aged 12 years and above. You do not have to live or work in Jasper County to receive the vaccine. 

Please call the health department at (618) 783-4436 to schedule a vaccination. Anyone 12 years or older can schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 Vaccination at the Jasper County Health Department office at 106 East Edwards street in Newton, IL. A parent or legal guardian will need to sign the Vaccine Consent Form for anyone 12 thru 17 years age.

Lawrence County Health Department (LCHD) is currently vaccinating anyone aged 12 or older. Vaccinations are available at LCHD; they offer Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer. Please call the health department at (618) 943-3302 to schedule an appointment.

Livingston County

The Livingston County Health Department (LCHD) is now making appointments available to all who are eligible for the vaccine. Note that people with moderately to severely compromised immune systems are eligible to receive an additional dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days after a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna COVID vaccine.

LCHD has scheduled clinics Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Note: All three types of vaccines will be available at each clinic. Pfizer is available to anyone age 12 or older. A legal guardian must accompany minors to their first dose Pfizer appointment.


Directions for appointment scheduling and links for registration are available on the LCHD website. You will need to show an ID at the time of your appointment. 

For those with limited mobility, a vaccine may be brought to your vehicle during your appointment. Please call (815) 844-7174 ext. upon your arrival to request vaccination in your vehicle.

Livingston County is also working to reach homebound individuals unable to visit COVID-19 vaccination sites. See their website to see if you qualify for the program and a form to schedule an in-home vaccination visit.

Second dose appointments will be scheduled upon attending your first dose appointment.
