Patient finds her voice again with help from Carle Health Speech Therapy

Following a battle with COVID-19 in October 2025, Carol Lake’s voice rapidly deteriorated, and she developed a chronic cough. Lake consulted an otolaryngologist (ENT), who diagnosed her with muscle tension dysphonia, a voice disorder that causes hoarseness and vocal pain.
