Every recovery journey is different, which is why the Addiction Recovery Center at Carle Health Proctor Hospital offers a range of care options.
Addiction Services include:
- Withdrawal management (often known as detox).
- Medically monitored inpatient care.
- Partial hospitalization (with and without overnight stays).
- Intensive outpatient and continuing care.
- Medication‑assisted recovery.
Services are designed to support individuals experiencing a range of substance use concerns including but not limited to alcohol, cannabis, opioids, stimulants, inhalants, prescription misuse and other substances. The center also offers services for gambling concerns.

If the recommended care plan includes services with an overnight stay, such as withdrawal management, inpatient care or partial hospitalization, we encourage bringing the following items:
- Medication: a list of prescribed medications. Individuals may also be asked to bring their prescribed medications.
- Clothing: comfortable, modest, weather-appropriate items that can be layered.
- Personal care: hygiene items (non aerosol products), shower shoes, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, unscented lotion.
- Optional items for added comfort: cell phone (use is limited during care), personal pillow or bed comforter, music player without internet capabilities, plastic hangers, pictures without glass, small fan.
