Appointments, video calls offered to talk about billing
Carle Patient Financial Services is offering patients a new tool to provide a more personal experience should they seek information about billing.

Patients can make an appointment to meet with a team member through Microsoft Bookings with the added option of doing a video virtual call. Patients can go to Carle.org/billing to find how to schedule the appointment.  Carle employees can also find information about how to schedule the appointments through the employee website.

“We are continuously seeking new ways to make digital connections convenient and helpful through customer service,” Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Cycle Officer Dawn Walden said.

Patient Financial Services Manager Melisa Bennett said the appointments will expedite answers for the caller and if the camera is used in addition to the voice phone call, someone who has a paper could even show the Carle team member what correspondence they are referencing rather than reading it over the phone.

“If they have a camera on their computer or phone, we will be able to see them and they can see us,” Bennett said.

Appointments may be booked during the following times:
Monday – 9 a.m. to noon; 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday – 8:30 a.m. to noon; 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
