As innovators in medical education, we’re excited to offer the Carle Illinois College of Medicine Clinic, located at Carle Champaign on Curtis. Guided by experienced Carle physicians while caring for patients, this unique clinic provides a hands-on opportunity to our medical students. Patients receive expert, personalized care while training and inspiring the next generation of physicians.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will this visit be billed?

Your visit to Carle Illinois College of Medicine Clinic will be handled like a normal physician office visit. Carle encourages all patients who have questions about coverage to contact their respective insurance companies to verify coverage before their scheduled visits and/or procedures. Carle Patient Financial Services is also available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (888) 712-2753.

How does being run by students make this clinic different?

At the clinic, all positions are filled by Carle Illinois College of Medicine students. After reviewing your health history and taking your vitals, a student will perform an evaluation. After visiting with you, the student will explain this detail to a licensed attending physician who will then also examine you. Throughout the visit, you may hear the student and physician discussing your health.

What conditions or symptoms would be best suited for this clinic?

The providers at the clinic treat all primary care needs. So if you are in need of a newborn screening or annual wellness exam, this clinic can help you.
