Why Deliver Your Baby at Carle
If you’re having a baby, you can count on the Carle Women’s Health Institute to give you a truly personal experience. Each year we deliver more than 4,200 babies at Carle hospitals, and are constantly working to make the experience as individual as you and your baby.
Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana is certified as a Level III Perinatal Service Center and recognized as a Baby-Friendly USA facility. And at Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, you can have the comfort of delivering close to home, with providers who are experts in their field, and are connected to an award winning program.
Carle BroMenn Medical Center has resumed offering in-person tours every Wednesday, beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m. No late admittance. Enter through the main hospital entrance and then meet the group inside the lobby adjacent to the Mother Baby Unit.
If you believe you are in labor please call your provider’s office (if it is during office hours) or one of the Labor and Delivery units listed below (if after office hours or on a weekend). A nurse will be able to help you determine the best time and place for evaluation, which could be in your provider’s office or at the hospital. After hours you will be asked to arrive at the Emergency Department and will be directed to the appropriate unit.
BroMenn expectant mothers only: Before your baby's birth, you can fill out this birth certificate worksheet, then print and bring it in to BroMenn. This will help ensure your baby's birth certificate is filled out properly when it's sent to the state.
