For the second consecutive year, Carle and Health Alliance were named a national Great Place to Work®. The continued recognition underscores the organization’s focus on creating an engaging and supportive workplace for employees to thrive and provide the best care and services for patients and members.
“Receiving the news that we are once again nationally certified as a Great Place to Work is such a testament to the culture we all contribute to here at Carle and is something for which we can all be proud,” said Lauren Schmid, executive vice president of Human Resources and chief human resources officer.
Great Place to Work is the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures. Millions of employees across the world participate in the Great Place to Work assessment process each year.
To be considered for the certification, organizations participate in a survey measuring employees’ trust about the people they work for, the degree to which they have pride in what they do, and how much they enjoy the people they work with. Additionally, organizations must submit a cultural brief detailing specifics about an organization’s workforce, benefits, perks and programs.
“Through the Great Place to Work application process, rounding and our yearly engagement survey we gather valuable information about what is important to our team members, and we use that feedback to continue to make positive changes to our environments, communications, benefits and programs,” Schmid said.
