Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the various accounting and computer functions necessary for the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial reports. They will maintain information systems required for various external reporting requirements. Although specific job duties will be assigned to each position, they are cross-trained to do other functions within the Accounting department.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or Business

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
None

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor in Accounting or Finance and 2 years� experience in a staff accountant capacity (healthcare experience preferred) or 1 year Carle experience in a junior accountant capacity with consistent performance at a staff accountant level OR Bachelor in Business and 5 years� experience in a junior accountant capacity (healthcare experience preferred) or 3 years Carle experience in a junior accountant capacity.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of accounting theory and applications. Must be able to create new reports in various mediums. These include the use of personal computer software (Microsoft Office products, such as Excel and Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
