Visiting Hours, Parking, and Amenities at Carle Eureka Hospital

Visiting Guidelines

Visitors may enter through the main entrance between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Before and after these hours, all visitors must enter through the Emergency Department entrance. Please use good judgment when choosing a time to visit a patient and remember that their rest is important.
  • Support persons must be 14 years or older, or the patient’s parent. Any support person under 18 years of age must be the patient’s parent or accompanied by an adult. 

  • For patients with developmental/cognitive impairments- two support persons are permitted (including COVID+ patients, in which case proper PPE will be provided). 

  • Emergency Department – two support persons at a time.  

  • Medical-Surgical – two support persons at a time during visiting hours, one of which may stay overnight.

  • Inpatient Rehab – two support persons at a time during visiting hours, one of which may stay overnight. 

  • End-of-life – four support persons at a time allowed at the bedside 24 hours a day. Children may be allowed to enter, but only when accompanied by an adult. 

  • COVID+ patients - one support person at a time. They will be provided the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety instructions to minimize risk of exposure.   

  • Procedures – two support persons per patient.   

  • Clergy may visit during visiting hours. They do not count towards patients’ allotment of visitors at bedside.  

Parking

Visitor parking is provided in the lots south and west of the hospital. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas.

Amenities

Meals are available for any guest. Notify the Nursing staff to order. Meals are $5 each payable at the Front Desk of the hospital.

Vending machines for snacks and beverages are available in the dining room on the lower level.
