The highly selective Carle Illinois College of Medicine officially extended offers of admission to its first 32 students.
With more than 1,000 applicants from nearly all 50 states, these 32 individuals have been identified as potential future physician-innovators who will excel in this unique engineering-infused curriculum.
One local student received her acceptance in a hand-delivered package from Dean King Li.
“Our 32 accepted students have already shown to be inspiring individuals who have great potential to revolutionize health care,” said Dr. Li, Dean of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. “We welcome them to the world’s first engineering-based college of medicine, and we’re ready to equip them to be physician-innovators who will revolutionize health care delivery.”
Overall, Carle Illinois admits score higher on the MCAT than other medical schools nationwide. Carle Illinois students will begin their education on July 2, 2018.
