Primary Care and Pediatric appointment scheduling now available through MyCarle
Carle Health continues to bring modern solutions to improve the patient experience. As digital avenues continue to be the preferred communication tool for community members, the health system is expanding the functionality of MyCarle to offer more opportunities to connect with care teams through the platform. The scheduling tool now includes Primary Care and Pediatric services across the health system to reserve appointments quicker and easier with the providers you know and trust. 

MyCarle is the digital application Carle Health patients use to access their medical records and history, connect with their care team, pay bills and more. Using system-guided scheduling, MyCarle allows patients to find appointment times with their preferred provider and preferred location. Patients can also cancel or reschedule appointments in their MyCarle accounts.

“A priority for Carle Health is to continually find ways to increase a patient’s access to their providers,” said Kate Steele, Carle Health vice president, Epic and Clinical Systems. “MyCarle also allows for more ease with scheduling because patients can select appointment times that work for them on a secure platform.”

Increasing access for patients to the healthcare services they need is always a priority for Carle Health. This expanded function of the MyCarle scheduling tool is another option for patients to connect with the healthcare system when and where it’s convenient for their family.

“Expanding scheduling capabilities within MyCarle gives our patients more flexibility with their healthcare decisions,” said Nikki Murbarger, Carle Health director, Revenue Cycle Systems and Training. “They can now see which providers are available at each location and can see primary care and pediatric appointment dates weeks to months in advance.”

Primary care and pediatric follow-up visits or procedures ordered by a provider can also be sent directly to patients’ MyCarle accounts to allow for easy scheduling options.

There is still continuity between appointments made online and appointments made over the phone. Both will be viewable in a patient’s MyCarle account. All appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled on the platform even if the initial appointment was not made on MyCarle.
