Every parent hopes for a normal, full-term birth for their child. Some infants, however, may need additional care after birth. That's why Carle Health Methodist Hospital Birthing Center has board certified neonatologists present in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Neonatologists are pediatricians with special training to care for premature and sick newborns. Carle Health Methodist Hospital has partnered with Onsite Neonatal Partners, on of the nation's leading practices in neonatal care, to provide these crucial services. Our providers attend all premature and high-risk term births, monitor infants in our Special Care Nursery, and perform well-infant exams for full-term infants.
Our neonatologists work directly with an entire team of specially trained providers to ensure your baby is taken care of during their stay at CHMH. The team includes respiratory therapists, specially trained nurses, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians, hearing screen technicians, and more. So you can rest easy knowing your baby is getting complete, round the clock care to help you all heal and head home.
