Newborn Care and Safety

Newborn Care

Bringing home a newborn baby can be both exciting and overwhelming. This tiny person will change your life completely from your normal routines. Be patient and give yourselves time as you become more confident in your parenting skills and as you begin forming a new routine.

Many new and experienced parents may feel worried as they adjust to a new baby’s habits, needs, and personality. It is important to remember that most of the common physical problems that occur during a given 24 hours with a baby are normal situations or problems with simple answers. We hope you will refer to your Gift of Motherhood book to help you prepare for life with baby. Please continue to use this valuable tool afterwards to answer questions you may have.

Newborn Safety

During Your Hospital Stay

Everyone at the hospital is working to keep you and your family as safe as possible. Our staff is trained on the numerous security layers already in place to protect you and your family. If you need more information or have questions, please notify your nursing staff.
