About this event
Welcoming another new addition to your family? Is your older child excited about becoming a new big sibling but not sure what their new title really means? This sibling class prepares "expectant" brothers and sisters for the arrival of their new sibling. This class is designed for children ages 2 and older and their caregivers. Children will learn the basics about newborns, engage in hands on activities, and tour the birthing center.
Children are encouraged to bring their favorite doll or stuffed animal (to practice with). At the end of the class, siblings get to enjoy treats and receive a special big sibling certificate. A tour will be provided (dependent on hospital guidelines at the time of the class) for big siblings to see where mom will stay when baby arrives.
This class will be held from 6 - 7 p.m. in the 5 West Conference Room at Carle Health Methodist Hospital.
The cost for this class is $10 per child.
