Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital Join Carle Health

Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital Join Carle Health

Today, we are proud to celebrate Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Carle Eureka Hospital and affiliated sites joining Carle Health. Together, our combined organization will leverage our unique strengths to better serve our communities.

“Each of these facilities has such strong histories in central Illinois,” said James C. Leonard, MD, president and chief executive officer, Carle Health. “We have a long shared history of working together through clinical partnerships. Our shared, unwavering commitment to our patients, to innovation and to our communities has laid a strong foundation that will allow us to evolve together and redefine healthcare for those in our region.”

Carle BroMenn Medical Center brings outstanding programs and expertise in neurology and as an Accredited Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center. Like Carle, nurses at BroMenn have also achieved Magnet® recognition, and the medical center serves as a teaching hospital for three residency programs, further elevating Carle’s academic mission of preparing future generations of caregivers. Carle Eureka Hospital brings additional capabilities with very strong patient satisfaction, further expanding the health system’s commitment to quality care and excellence.

“Our strengths certainly complement and build upon the strong services already offered across Carle,” said Colleen Kannaday, who remains president of Carle BroMenn Medical Center and Carle Eureka Hospital. “We have felt welcomed as a part of Carle from the beginning. It is clear that, like us, Carle values relationships – with our patients, communities and each other. This shared mindset and dedication to excellence sets us up for continued success.”

As a vertically integrated health system, the Carle health system includes the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute, both focused on finding new, innovative ways to improve care and the health of our friends and neighbors. Health Alliance, a leading provider-driven health plan offered through Carle, has long been available to those at BroMenn Medical Center and Eureka Hospital.

Joining together will also provide even more options for high-quality care throughout the area. The associated medical practice will continue to expand as the system grows. Patients will not see interruption in their care throughout this transition. Patients can call their doctor’s office with questions or call (866) 536-0617 for more information.
