What to Expect from The Carle SurgiCenter

The Procedure

At the SurgiCenter, your doctor performs your surgery, so you have a chance to ask questions beforehand. In addition, the staff at the SurgiCenter is specially trained and dedicated to outpatient surgical procedures.

Most patients leave the SurgiCenter within one or two hours after surgery. Recovery occurs in two stages, first in a quiet and comfortable area, so you can recover peacefully and privately. For the second stage of recovery, patients can get dressed, sit up, eat a snack and watch TV, then rest before going home.

Special Treatment for CHILDREN

Carle SurgiCenter takes special consideration for children undergoing surgery to ease their minds and make them more comfortable. Young patients receive care in rooms decorated especially for children, and they can wear their favorite pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Parents are welcome to be with their child in pre- and post-op areas.
