Community Benefit Report
Benefiting the community is central to everything we do at Carle, and our role within the community extends far beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics. As the region’s trusted healthcare provider, we are also called to be the region’s trusted community partner – providing assistance, programs and resources when and where our communities need them.
In 2018, Carle provided $195 million in services, donations and support to our community, including $34.8 million in free or discounted care to more than 35,000 patients.
To see the illustrated break-down of community benefit programming and learn how the entire Carle organization is impacting our community, view a two-page summary of community benefits.
A report of Carle Foundation Hospital’s community benefits provided in 2018 will be filed with the Illinois Office of the Attorney General, a requirement for not-for-profit hospitals.
