Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

 Specialty tracks* are subject to the following Application Deadlines:

May 2021 grads
: Application deadline January 31, 2020
December 2021 grads
:  Application deadline August 31, 2021
May 2022 grads: Application deadline January 15, 2022
  

Applications received after the deadline will be routed to Med/Surg track for consideration.

 

Your application for the Carle Nurse Residency Program (CNRP) will be considered for inpatient opportunities, including Med/Surg, CCU, ED and Maternal/Child nurse residency tracks, with expanded opportunities in OR & Home Care/Hospice. Additional ambulatory residency opportunites are available in Primary Care and select Specialty departments.

THIS POSTING IS TO ALLOW NEW GRADUATE NURSES TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AND TO BEGIN THE DOCUMENT SUBMISSION PROCESS. THIS IS NOT A POSTING FOR AN ACTUAL OPEN POSITION.



Applicants must be enrolled and prepared to graduate, or have previously graduated, from an accredited nursing program. Prior to beginning nursing orientation, the employee must have obtained an unencumbered Illinois State Registered Nurse license. 

All RNs hired on at Carle with less than 1 year of RN experience must obtain their BSN within 5 years of their start date.

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. 

 
New graduates, and those in their final 2 semesters of a nursing program are encouraged to apply.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. 

The Carle Nurse Residency Program (CNRP) is an evidence-based, comprehensive soution to assist new nurses in transitioning from academia to practice.
