Getting Started: New Hire Onboarding

New Hire Onboarding is your online resource for accessing and completing your pre-employment forms.

When do I use New Hire Onboarding?

Before your Occupational Medicine appointment, you need to complete the forms in New Hire Onboarding. These forms need to be completed within 72 hours.

How do I get into the site?

  • You will need the username and password that you used to complete your employment application. If you don't know your username and password, you may retrieve it once you enter New Hire Onboarding.
  • You must ensure that your browser is configured to allow you to save encrypted forms to a disk. To check or change your configuration in Internet Explorer, complete the following steps:
    1. From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section.
    3. Ensure that Do Not Save Encrypted Pages to Disk is not checked.
    4. Click OK.

If you use a browser other than Internet Explorer, contact your browser's vendor for information on ensuring you can save encrypted forms to a disk. However, it is strongly recommended that you complete the New Hire Onboarding forms using Internet Explorer.

Where can I use a computer?

You may use your personal computer to access the site. If you are unable to access New Hire Onboarding through a personal computer, you may visit one of the locations below to access the site:

  • HR Campus Connection located in the main lobby of Carle Foundation Hospital

What do I do in New Hire Onboarding?

Click "New Hire Paperwork" to begin. Complete your pre-employment forms. Complete each form and submit electronically. Please complete these forms before your Occupational Medicine appointment. See sample below.

If you receive the message below when you click on a form, you'll need to change your configuration in Internet Explorer by completing the steps below. If the forms appear without a file download box, you can continue without changing Internet Explorer.

  1. From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options.
  2. Select the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section.
  3. Ensure that Do Not Save Encrypted Pages to Disk is not checked.
  4. Click OK.

If you use an browser other than Internet Explorer, contact your browser's vendor for information on ensuring you can save encrypted forms to a disk.

To assist you, on each form all required fields are underlined in red.

After you have read and completed each form, click the Send to HR button. If you haven't completed the form, you can click the Save for Later button. See the sample buttons below.

Form I-9 requirement and procedure

All employees, citizens and non-citizens, must complete Section 1 of the I-9 form and provide acceptable documents that establish identity and work eligibility.

  1. You must complete all of Section 1. The box attesting to status must be checked. If box 2 or 3 is checked, then the corresponding blank must be completed.
  2. You must then choose one document from List A or, one document from List B and one document from List C. See page 3 of the Form I-9 for a list of acceptable documents. You must bring these original document(s) that establish identity and work eligibility to The Carle Foundation Human Resources Department during your New Hire Appointment.
